COVID – 19 Response
Our staff is here to do our part during the Covid -19 pandemic. We have closed our sister property, the University Inn, and are moving all reservations from there over to here. For transparency, we want our guests to know that we have agreed to help first responders on the front lines who may need to quarantine while waiting for a test result. These guests will be on their own floor with strict check-in procedures and no contact during their stay.
In order to comply with the Governor’s Order dated April 3, 2020 , we are no longer taking reservations on-line. All reservations must be made by calling the front desk directly at 207-866-7120 and only then, a management determination will be made if the reservation can be honored. Travel within the state is restricted for only those people who meet specific criteria as outlined in the order. Lodging will be provided only for the following purposes:
- a. Housing vulnerable populations, including children in emergency placements, persons at risk of domestic violence, and homeless individuals as permitted by the State.
- b. Providing accommodations for health care workers, or other workers deemed necessary to support public health, public safety or critical infrastructure.
- c. Use of lodging properties as self-quarantine or self-isolation facilities as arranged by the State.
- d. Limited verifiable extenuating circumstances for the care and safety of residents as otherwise approved by the State.
During this Covid – 19 response, we decided that it is important to do our part and provide help where we can during these trying times.
We have made several changes to our delivery of service in order to protect our staff, guests and comply with CDC Covid – 19 response guidelines. Some of the changes include:
~ No housekeeping service for stayover rooms. Please call the front desk if you require supplies and we will leave them at your door.
~ Very limited breakfast offerings, home made by our chef, which are grab and go. We also ask that our guests respect the space guidelines and take their breakfast back to their rooms to eat and use their own microwave.
~ No wine and cheese reception in the evenings.
~ Enhanced cleaning protocols for common areas.
~ Proper distance during the check in procedure.
Please know that we are very committed to staying positive, looking for the little miracles during this process and providing a safe environment for our work family and guests. We hope that when life returns to normal, you will help us recover by rescheduling your events and room reservations. Everyone here wishes you health and safety during these times and hope you notice all of the positive changes happening around us.
Mother earth is healing and so are we! Let’s all do our part.
